All of these were Shell ships, mostly tankers. The "T" class (Tectus and Tricula) were bulk carriers hauling coal. Methane Progress, Geomitra and Gastrana were LNG carriers.

I also had a lot of fun on the minesweeper HMS Arun/GAAD 1986-1987 doing trips from Shoreham to the Channel Islands on weekend training runs.

There are memorable moments from all of these. The scariest must be the Falklands War of 1982 on the Eburna/GXOF … It's not fun being bombed and shot at when you're sitting on top of 30,000 tonnes of jet fuel :-)

I should write my memoirs one day. When I get old, perhaps (old being just a few years older than I am now!)
